MACHALE A. MILLER
Mac is a partner in the firm and practices primarily in admiralty law. Over the course of his career, his practice has been maritime in the international arena involving the trade of grain; commodities; recovery actions in connection with shipments to and from the United States consisting of power generating and transmission equipment (turbines, transformers and generators). He has also been involved in numerous admiralty issues involving collisions/allisions, crew-boats that have either been hit or have hit another vessel or dock while operating on blue or brown waterways. Mac has also been involved in cases involving personal injury defense, as well as indemnity cases relating to oil field work and the application to contractors and subcontractors. He has experience in matters regarding the chain of enforceability and applicability, and in rig explosions. He has also handled blue-water marine matters regarding collisions, fires, sinkings, and blue-water seamen’s injury cases.
Matt is a partner in the firm and handles a wide range of matters, primarily centralized in the marine industry. His practice involves numerous aspects of litigation on behalf of his clients, including, but not limited to, admiralty and maritime matters involving collisions and incidents at sea, and various other forms of admiralty law. He also handles a good deal of insurance litigation issues and commercial litigation matters. Matt also handles matters for his clients that involve arbitration and mediation. Matt works hard on strategy and often looks for the right approach to cases.
Ili is a partner at the firm and is engaged in general trial and appellate practice primarily involved in general liability, tort and property damage, cargo subrogation claims involving ocean, trucking and rail transportation and insurance defense. Her practice is both international and local, and she handles a wide variety of admiralty and maritime claims including blue and brown water maritime litigation, personal injury defense cases, marine and general property and casualty insurance claims, breach of contract litigation, premise liability, contract disputes and government contracting. She involves much of her strategy to figure out the best approach to claim resolution with the client’s best interest in mind, and she is tough but conscientious at the same time, dedicated to her clients’ causes and devoted to the cases that she handles. She provides the best and most cost-effective approach to follow and is excellent at assessing liability and damages, and developing effective defenses for a successful resolution of the cases entrusted to her care.
